There are many ways to reach Istanbul. The quickest for sure is by air and most of travellers decide to fly as after two hours flight the beauties of the ancient city once called Costantinopoli can be admired. Perhaps the more pleasant , especially who is afraid to fly, is two days trip by ship with possibility to stop in Greece.

 

“We decided to go cycling, to travel on unusual way, so slowly to be able to enjoy the nature and world around us, to see the distance not as a limit, but opportunity to travel as long time ago travelling was” said the cycle amateur.

 

In three weeks time, they’ll cross over the part of our planet well known in the past as crossroad of various culture and religions and lately was suffered due to the bloody war caused by false ethnic or religious differences.

 

The project called Until the door of Orient is also a good occasion to support the solidarity for collection of fund dedicated to the projects of AIFO. This ONG was born in 1961 by the spontaneous groups of volunteers united in their fight against the leprosy and against all type of injustice and marginalization.
